The Key is in The Pool, Let's get All In The Pool

Dear All Councillors -elect

The main scheme behind writing this open letter, is to provide and remind  all of us with a synopsis of the concept of Decentralization and the true path to the real Prosperity.

The way I see it, Decentralization of authority- is another notion closely related to Centralization.  As decentralization is the transfer of powers of the central government to the rural areas, we mustn't forget, with great power comes great responsibilities.
In addition to the package, the government's annual budget becomes dispersal. This means that, it is the local councils responsible to constitute greater proportion of development throughout the country.

Secondly, The local council must follow the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-Bound) criteria of management throughout their term. it will ensure the true course and the purpose is never forgotten.

Thirdly, ensuring the participation of the local society in decision-making is very crucial. The Councillors' prime and fundamental interest must be assisting the people determining the direction of their development. therefore, frequent and perpetual Town Hall Meetings are very much essential.

By now we all must have understood that, with the flow of decentralization, each island has its own Economic Liberalization. Meaning, the central government's intervention is limited. So it is high time we adopt renewed free-market theories embodied by structural adjustments and micro-economic stabilization policies.

And here is my personal favorite, Yes, I call it 'All In The Pool' Strategy.

Here, I want to suggest the proper involvement of Professionalism in the efforts to the prime goals. So, with the legal privileges , the head-Councillor could appoint a committee in which a picked member from each local institute can represent their concerns hand-to-hand rather than "24/7-behind-the-back-to-back". I suppose this formality could help lure real issues to the table.

Allah Bless MALDIVES
